As requested and approved at our last HOA meeting, the new Neighborhood Crime Watch sign has been installed at the entrance of our community. Hopefully this will deter traffic from vehicles that have no legitimate business in our neighborhood.  Thank you to Mike McGlinn for installation of the sign!

We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you all in 2026.

Thank you to the Chhatpar family for organizing and hosting the neighborhood cookie exchange in the cul de sac today!  We had a great turnout (both people and pups) and a wonderful selection of cookies to choose from.  It was so nice to see and visit with all our neighbors and a great way to start off the holiday season!

Seyd and Layla Sobhani at 4570 E. Avenida Shelly plan to have a garage sale November 16, 2024 weather permitting.  If anyone was thinking of having their own, this would be a good day to have it.

Everyone should have received a letter from Pima County about a public hearing for a sign variance the First Evangelical Free Church on Swan (across the street from us) is requesting. It basically is requesting the following variances:

  1. To allow a second freestanding sign on the property. Section 18.79.080 of the Pima County Zoning Code requires that only one sign be allowed per site.
  2. For an increase in allowable square footage from 32 square feet to 48 square feet. Section 18.79.080 of the Pima County Zoning Code requires that the maximum area per sign in the SR zone be 32 square feet.

It appears from the letter there is a 1000' notification zone which does not include all the properties in our HOA.

The meeting is scheduled for April 3 and is only virtual.  To participate in the meeting or just listen in, call the number below and enter the participation code:

  • Annual meeting was held on Wednesday March 15th.
  • For safety, please slow down when driving on our roads. We have residents that walk the road for exercise, and children in the neighborhood. No one wants to hear of a tragedy occurring.
  • Please make an effort to remove mistletoe and dead cactus visible on your property.  Mistletoe will eventually kill the tree its grow in and dead cactus become nests and nesting material for pack rats.  My Thanks and appreciation to those who have already made a difference in this area of concern.

  • It is rattlesnake season Watch out for the reptiles.  They like to sunbathe this time of year. What do you do if you are bitten by a rattle snake?
Stay calm
Call Dispatch via radio or 911
Wash the bite area gently with soap and water if available
Remove watches, rings, etc., which may constrict swelling
Immobilize the affected area
Keep the bite below the heart if possible
Transport safely to the nearest medical facility immediately

As requested and approved by the annual meeting quorum, new road signs have been installed that meet the Pima County governing documents for private streets.  Drive slowly and carefully on our roadways.  Remember, the roads do not have a center dividing line, there are no sidewalks on either side of the roadway, and the hilly terrain makes speeding potentially hazardous for on coming cars, pedestrians, and the children that call our community home.  Please drive safely.

The common area trimming and clean up on either side of both our streets is scheduled for January 3 through January 8th.  Please drive safely and be aware of landscaping crews and their vehicles on the roadway during this time.
